You know what you're guilty of and trying to find a loophole to get the temp ban removed won't work most of the time. As someone in the service, I would expect you to act a bit better than us civilians. You are after all, supose to be role models. Although with the military recruiting more and more thugs and gangmembers daily, the military isn't what it used to be.

-And what is acceptable by the standards of a society with little to no moral character does not mean much to some of us. Just because majority rules doesn't mean its right. The majority is more often than not, idiots or at the very least, self absorbed, greedy and uncarring.

You seem to be someonewhat intelligent, probably far more intelligent than myself. So learn from this and in the future, instead of supporting (unwillingly or not) bad behavior, try to steer people in a better direction, away from the "its cool to be a jerk" attitude that you find oh so common these days.

Or don't and reclaim your position in line with everyone else who is unwilling to learn from their mistakes and would rather keep on acting like a degenerate. Its your choice.

Thats not true. I'm pretty social and I'v never been banned because I do not "play" with offensive jerks and I also do not allow myself or my friends to get baited into childish flamewars. Its really not hard to use common sense or common courtesy. Although I guess, to my suprise, that is harder than I thought considering how few of either can be found online.

I for one am thankful that game providers have behavior rules, otherwise online games would be filled with nothing but jerks spewing their vulgar garbage 24/7. Video gaming used to be a social activity and is fast becoming a anti social activity. This is why many gamers check to see if you can solo in a game, because the gamer community is 60% raging jerks, 40% friendly players.

The only people who have a problem with behavior requirements and rules are those who want to be jerks and get away with it. You should not be allowed to ruin someone elses fun, just because it amuses you.

'Jew' is DEFINATELY not a racial slur.
It wasn't a racial slur even used in that context.
But still, there's nothing you can do because of the idiots are the majority of the community.

I don't know what you said in your team chat, but if someone saw 'Jew' used, they may have assumed it was being used as a slur, especially if also using the 'fro' with it. They may have been wrong in the assumption, but that is an easy one to understand. If they then get insulted and swore at in a PM, they have a very good reason to place a report. Swearing is against the EULA, and even though there is a filter, it is not there to allow swearing. The people who review the /reports may have decided to ban you as much for the PM to the guy as the team chat he got mad about.

Talking about it here won't do you any good, but MAYBE you will understand why the problem arose.

Sorry dude, but you brought this on yourself. Not so much for the Jew comment, but because you took the bait and decided to 'curse' the guy out in a pm. If you're cursing at him and he's not responding, of course you're gonna look like the bad guy. I wish people would understand, sarcasm goes alot further than cursing and its so much better at shutting jerks up.

I've been in plenty of fights with people on GW, but I'm never cursed at them, so I've never been banned.

So lesson learned: Dont curse out people through pms?

If someone harasses you first and you harass back it doesn't mean shit to Anet and I learned that the hard way, when I got banned a while back now they checked the logs and told me there was no harassment towards myself when their was, I don't target people and harass them because I like to get banned fer teh lulz but according you Anet I do.

Anyway, alot of things are said to be racial slurs these days it's getting ridiculous, you probably said something that made the mod who hit the ban hammer, a slang racial slur for example? I don't think they're completely oblivious. That's the only thing I can think of but from experience Anet don't always ban fairly but that's just my two cents..

From what it sounds like, it was your fault.
Here's why:
You MAY have offened him, and even then, you cussed him out in PMs.
Cussing out people in PMs alone is enough for a ban, added with what he said in his report..well, you get the picture.

Even if they find that you used no racial slures, they will still keep the ban on you for cussing him out through PMs...

So, sorry to say, but theres no real point to this.

I would love it if those who reported/abused for "bad" language had the chat filter forced on them for week. Or bad reporters couldn't report for a time. Or had a lifetime rating. But of course the people working at Anet don't care and players would abuse it.

Honestly reporting someone for language or pretty much anything for that matter is basically a joke since there is a FILTER and IGNORE LIST . So imo only whiny little girls that are isolated from the rest of society use the report feature.

I guess I will throw my 2 sense in. A friend of mine rocks a Jewfro and I make fun of him all the time for it. It is great we both laugh. People are stupid. The internet was made for ppl to act big and bad and allow whiny 7 year olds to have power by getting you banned for dumb crap. Past is the Past. Good luck playing in 51 hours. Hopefully you will come back and get an e blade on your first uwsc.
